Students with majors in the College of Science have the opportunity to live and learn with other science majors. The College boasts two unique Living Learning Communities, each designed to provide students with a higher level of engagement and opportunity.
All Science Majors LLCs
Felts Hall, West Campus
Neely Hall - 6th, 7th, and 8th floors, East Campus
Eligibility: These Living Learning Communities are open to students with any major in the College of Science, including Biological Sciences, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Physiology, Plant Biology, and Zoology.
Faculty involvement is provided to enhance your academic success. There are many benefits associated with living in the Science LLC, including getting to know professors and classmates, greater access to academic resources, specialized programs in the residence hall, and developing a sense of belonging to the University community. There are a variety of weekly programs and activities including visits by key faculty and staff, tutoring opportunities and participation in the Saluki Science Ambassadors student leadership team, which plans and participates in special programs and events for the College.
Nursing, Pre-Nursing & Pre-Health Professions LLC
Neely Hall - 9th floor, East Campus
Eligibility: This LLC is open to students majoring in any of the Pre-Health Professions.
Nursing, Pre-Nursing and Pre-Health Professions students have the opportunity to live and learn together. This LLC is conveniently located near the Student Health Center - where many courses in the Nursing program are held. Membership in this LLC comes with many benefits, including increased interactions with professors and fellow students, access to academic resources, and specialized programs. Additionally, students in the LLC have the opportunity to attend programs and activities in the community, visit with faculty and staff in the hall, receive tutoring and assistance, and get involved with the Nursing Registered Student Organization (RSO).
